compactifications and function spaces on weighted semigruops

chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

Hamiltonian spaces for Manin pairs over manifolds

We introduce the notion of Hamiltonian spaces for Manin pairs over manifolds, using the so-called generalized Dirac structures. As an example, we describe Hamiltonian spaces of a quasi-Lie bialgebroid using this general framework. We also discuss reduction of Hamiltonian spaces of this general type.

Ordered Spaces, Metric Preimages, and Function Algebras *

We consider the Complex Stone-Weierstrass Property (CSWP), which is the complex version of the Stone-Weierstrass Theorem. If X is a compact subspace of a product of three linearly ordered spaces, then X has the CSWP if and only if X has no subspace homeomorphic to the Cantor set. In addition, every finite power of the double arrow space has the CSWP. These results are proved using some results ...

Complex Function Algebras and Removable Spaces

The compact Hausdorff space X has the Complex Stone-Weierstrass Property (CSWP) iff it satisfies the complex version of the Stone-Weierstrass Theorem. W. Rudin showed that all scattered spaces have the CSWP. We describe some techniques for proving that certain non-scattered spaces have the CSWP. In particular, if X is the product of a compact ordered space and a compact scattered space, then X ...

Noncommutative Orlicz spaces over W *-algebras

Using the Falcone–Takesaki theory of noncommutative integration, we construct a family of noncommutative Orlicz spaces that are canonically associated to an arbitrary W *-algebra without any choice of weight involved, and we show that this construction is functorial over the category of W *-algebras with *-isomorphisms as arrows.
